Who are we?
Wish Upon a Plane is a Travel Agency based in Texas. My name is Melissa. I was born and raised Peruvian, I am the owner of Wish Upon a Plane. I have lived in the United States since April of 2005.
I have always loved all things Disney. Back in 2002, while still living in Peru, I participated in the College International Program for a few months. I worked in Magic Kingdom. My favorite thing to do while working at Walt Disney World, was watching the afternoon parade and the fireworks every night. I was also able to work most of the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party nights, which made the holidays away from my family, very special. (And getting home every night smelling like turkey legs was very much worth it!)
Since then, things have changed at the Resorts and the parks. Most everything is automatized now, and to say that you need to have an “action plan” before heading over there is NOT exaggerating. After hearing multiple people tell me how little they enjoyed their trip because they didn’t know how things worked, I decided to become a travel agent.
In July 2015, I started working for a travel agency while still keeping a full time job for a well-known bank here in the United States. Fast forward to 2019, I left the bank and started working full-time as a travel agent. However, in March 2020, we all know what happened… and this is when Wish Upon a Plane was born. I decided to open my very own Travel Agency.
